This is not a book report. This is not a summary of the book or an analysis of the quality of the writing or research. Instead, this is a book call to action. A book call to action is a personal report of the ways this book has caused me to assess my life and to make changes, and perhaps some ideas to change your life too. It’s about the impact this book has had on me.

Johann Hari’s Stolen Focus: Why You Can’t Pay Attention — and How to Think Deeply Again describes the experience many of us have had of our ability to focus decreasing, and evaluates the many factors influencing that outcome. I chose to read this book because, like almost everyone I know, I too deal with a deteriorated ability to focus in many ways.
